
Familiar Tides, Unfamiliar Shores: artist talk

Alongside the exhibition Familiar Tides, Unfamiliar Shores, the project Superorganic Landscapes: Aesthetic Perspectives on Sustainable Urban Living also includes a series of public events meant to deepen the themes and to create a context of dialogue between the artists and the audience.
Artist Talk – Friday, March 28th, 5 p.m., Contemporar
The event will take place in English and will provide an overview of the artists’ individual practices, the international collaboration that led to the project’s realization, and the role that art can play in fostering ecological thinking.

Guided Tour – Saturday, March 29th, 3 p.m.
Meeting point: the tour will start on 12 Regele Ferdinand St. (in front of the Humana shop)
A guided tour through the city, connecting the artworks integrated into the urban space with the exhibition at Contemporar, offering the public a sensitive and critical map of Cluj as seen through the eyes of the artists.

The project is funded by EEA and Norwegian Grants, through the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development, and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI). The project consortium is coordinated by the Municipality of Cluj-Napoca and includes partners from Romania, Iceland, and Norway: Cluj Cultural Center (call organizer), Babeș-Bolyai University (Romania), Federation of Youth from Cluj (Romania), Pont Group (Romania), Metapolis Architects (Romania), Reykjavik Art Museum (Iceland), Institute of Urbanism and Landscape (Oslo, Norway).
