Contemporar meets the German Cultural Center: 1 Guided Tour – 2 Exhibitions – 5 Perspectives
(Young Actions and Abstractions)
10 July 2025, 18:00
You are invited to a special guided tour through the exhibitions Fakeless and Connecting to Peers, accompanied by an interdisciplinary debate on the challenges of the digital world.
The tour and discussion start at the German Cultural Center and continue at the Contemporar space, showcasing two thought-provoking and complementary exhibitions:
“Fakeless”
Hosted by the German Cultural Center Cluj-Napoca, this interactive exhibition explores how we consume information and develop critical thinking toward news and media. It serves as a creative antidote to disinformation, aimed at all generations.
A project by Goethe-Institut in collaboration with Kunsht (Ukraine), presented in Cluj by the German Cultural Center.
“Connecting to Peers”
Presented at Contemporar – a pilot space for research, dialogue, knowledge, and exhibition, created by the Cluj Cultural Center and Babeș-Bolyai University – the exhibition addresses digital networks as social, metaphorical, and political spaces through works by several artists: Cristina Cochior, Mona Vătămanu & Florin Tudor, Geo Barcan, Cezar Mocan.
How do we build, regulate, and use internet infrastructures, and how can we reimagine them as shared public spaces?
The discussion will be opened by five guests from different fields, and the audience is encouraged to actively participate with questions, ideas, and contributions.
The discussion will be held in Romanian. Participation is free.
The event begins at the German Cultural Center and continues at Contemporar:
